CenterLink Help Desk (Technical Support)

In order to assist you more efficiently, we have provided the following Frequently Asked Support Questions.  Please review these questions for possible resolutions.

If your situation is a recurring problem and you have a previously assigned help desk case, please give us your case number when contacting us.


 

Frequently Asked Support Questions

1. When I enter my User Id and Password and click on LogIn, I get an error that says "Authentication Failed. Try Again."

Resolution: Make sure you are using the correct User Id and Password.  In most cases, your User Id and Password are in lower case letters.

2. When I enter my User Id and Password and click on LogIn, nothing happens.

Resolution:  In order to log in to CenterLink, your computer's Time, Date, and Time Zone must be accurate. To check your Date/Time settings, click on Start, Settings, Control Panel, Date/Time. Make sure your date and time are correct, and that your Time Zone is set to Eastern Standard Time.  After making necessary changes, click on the "Apply" button.  You may also need to re-boot your computer in order for the Time Zone change to take effect.

3. When I enter my User Id and Password and click on LogIn, I get an error that says "Log In Error."

Resolution: CenterLink security measures have been set up to allow three failed log in attempts.  If you are unable to log in successfully after three attempts, you will be locked out.  Wait 15 minutes from the time of the last log in attempt and try again.

4.  I'm trying to go to the CenterLink web site, but I can't get to the LogIn screen.

Resolution:  Try to visit another web site (such as http://www.ncua.gov).  If you are unable to get to another web site, then you may have lost your Internet connection.  Try connecting to your Internet Service Provider again or contact your Information Systems department for assistance. 

Resolution:  If you are clicking on a Bookmark or Favorite to access CenterLink, your bookmark or favorite may have become corrupted.  As an alternative, type CenterLink's web address (https://www.nyscul.org) in your browser.

Resolution:  If you are able to access other web sites but still cannot access CenterLink, then CenterLink may be temporarily unavailable.  Please wait 15 minutes and try again. 

5.    I don't have a User Id and Password.

Resolution: In order to access CenterLink, you must have a User Id and Password.  Contact the CenterLink Help Desk at 800-342-9835, ext. 8545 or fill out the CenterLink New Account Request.  Note: CenterLink is for credit unions only.

 

6. I want to change my CenterLink password.

Resolution:  Log in to CenterLink and click on the blue "User Preferences" button.  Scroll down to "Change Password".  Enter your old password and new password. In "Verify New Password", re-type your new password to confirm it. Click on "Change Password". The next time you log in to CenterLink, use your new password.

7.  I want to obtain additional User IDs and Passwords for credit union staff.

Resolution:  In order to issue User IDs and Passwords, please call or e-mail us with the following information: credit union name, new user's name, new user's e-mail address, and new user's phone number.
