Systems Specialist

Loan Officer
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the processing of all member loan applications received.  Individual will utilize credit reporting systems to obtain and analyze applicant’s credit history in relation to loan request.  The BFCU Loan Officer will be responsible for the completion of the   underwriting of personal, automobile, student, share secured, home equity and first mortgage loans.  Identifies potential applications for CUC Mortgage Services, coordinates communications between member and CUC, and participates in the process up to the time of closing.  Participates in the monthly review of the loan portfolio and recommends funding as required.  Follows through on all leads received for services offered by the credit union, providing membership with product details and coordinates with Member Service Representatives the set up of same.  Participates in the review of loan rates to ascertain they are competitive for markets we serve.   Actively participates in the development and implementation of marketing programs for lending. Provides financial counseling to members on the use of credit, formulating budgets and the importance of saving.  Provides leadership and oversees the daily operation of the credit union in absence of manager.  Works with the Sr. Member Service Representative to securitize all collateral for auto, home and other secured loan products. Answers incoming calls from members, resolves inquiries, processes telephone transactions.  Performs other duties as requested.
