The League and the Community

New York Credit Union League, Inc. and Affiliates employees and CUNA Mutual employees “chipped in” to celebrate International Credit Union Day this year. Volunteers baked cookies at the Albany, New York Ronald McDonald House, one of an international network of facilities that provides lodging for the families of out-of-town pediatric patients in cities where the children must go to seek medical treatment. Since 1918, the League has carried out its mission, “serving and supporting” the state’s nearly 700 credit unions.

As part of our mission, we at the NYS Credit Union League are dedicated to giving back to the community around us. League staff work year round in support of this mission.

Events organized by the League Activities Committee include car washes, blood drives, food drives, and raffles. Organizations such as the Northeast Parent and Child Society (for abused, neglected, and troubled children and their families), Credit Unions Care for Kids, and the Ronald McDonald House have benefited from these events.
