CUNA, NYSCUL Unveil Nationwide Hotline Number For Crisis Recovery
Business interruption and crisis communication are key areas in which credit unions must be prepared. In New York State, flooding, power outages and storms are recent examples of the sudden and adverse impact of catastrophe. In the event of a regional disaster, your members will depend on reliable and updated information about the status and operation of their credit union. Your organization likely has created an emergency preparedness plan that provides instruction and communicates information readily to members should a catastrophe occur. To support such a plan, NYSCUL with the leadership of CUNA, introduces the Credit Union National Emergency Information System (CUNEIS) to supplement your telecommunication continuity to members. The service is available to all credit unions across the country, at no charge. NYSCUL asks that you please take the time to involve your credit union in this system.
