Buffalo area credit unions exceeded their prior year's donation to the Network of Religious Communities Food Pantry when they delivered four SUVs full of non-perishable items, 17 turkeys and over $450 in cash and check donations.

Following their very successful “Credit Unions Care for Kids” program, Buffalo Council Member Denise Ligammare, surrounded by participating credit union employees, presents a check for $23,330.32 to Nicole Morley, manager of pediatric fundraising, for Carly’s Club (Pediatric Cancer) at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute. OPCS FCU President, Don Bruning, stands atop OPCS FCU’s animated flying American eagle float, which took first prize in the Town of Orchard Park’s 200^th anniversary July 4 parade. The eagle, made from recycled materials and built by the credit union’s board members, luckily was waterproof. It survived a torrential rain storm just prior to the parade.  (07/27/04)
