President of the Year award recognizes an individual who goes "above and beyond" the call of duty within their own credit union by assuming a leadership role at the district level. This year, two individuals received the award:

and District of the Year Awards. The Rochester District Council was recognized for making the best strides toward achieving their goals. Combine the efforts of the District President and District Council, and you come up with the District of the Year. For 2003, it was the Rochester District!

(Washington, DC) NYSCUL President/CEO William J. Mellin was on hand when
Bill Cheney, President/CEO and Tim Myers, VP, Sales and Marketing for
Xerox FCU received a national Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Award at
CUNA’s GAC in February. The credit union received 1st place in
the $500+ million asset category for their local efforts with the Seneca

Hoping that practicing their winning reactions will bring them luck vying
for the evening’s bingo pot are Sam Gaudino, Holy Family Parish CU; Joe
McManus, GRS FCU; Barbara Dillon, State University of New York at Geneseo
FCU, and Sue Raymond, Greece Central FCU. All proceeds
from the Feb. 11 bingo game were donated to one of the District’s “Care
for Kids” recipients, Galisano Chidren’s Hospital.
