Americu CU hosted Lite 98.7 radio’s $10K shopping spree. Announcing the winning number to over 300 anxious listeners at the credit union’s Griffiss Business Park branch was the credit union’s COO, Joe Anderson. Deborah Mancuso of Utica, pictured above with her husband Sam, was the big winner. The couple was then whisked away by a limo to spend all of the $10,000 within the contest’s five hour limit. Representatives from Visions FCU, GPO FCU and the USDA break ground
on a new state-of-the-art soccer complex that will serve over 300
children, plus have the ability to host numerous community events.
The three entities are financing the large sports dome for the
Rising Stars Soccer Club, a non-profit organization that brings

Mike Parsons presented a petition with nearly 5,000 member
signatures to Congressman Sherwood Boehlert (R-Utica/Rome) in
support of the credit union movement. The petition is part of a
nationwide effort against the banker’s request to Congress to remove
