We encourage all credit union leaders and supporters to join us for our legislative visits when we “hike the hill” to show lawmakers that New York State’s credit unions stand together on the issues for which we advocate and the concerns we share.
Remind our elected officials that our credit unions exist for service, not for profit. Emphasize that support for credit unions means solidarity with their constituents and enlighten them on credit union friendly legislation.

If you’ve never participated in GAC, make this year the time to start! League staff will be on hand to provide legislative briefings, handouts, advice and practical tips on how to make the most of your visits with legislators. If you have participated in GAC many times, you can mentor your peers and help advance the League’s state legislative agenda.
