The Power of Knowledge
It is said that knowledge is power. Certainly, financial knowledge gives people the power to manage their money and succeed in life. However, millions of New York State residents—especially those who are disadvantaged—can often find no place from which to gain this knowledge.
Credit unions have filled the gap, not only providing free seminars for millions of New Yorkers—from the Latino community to people in recovery—but forging vibrant partnerships with community organizations to reach those most in need. Here are just some of their stories.
