(November 20 - Latham, NY) – CUC Mortgage has received a "Best Practices" award in the mortgage servicing category from Credit Union Journal, a weekly newspaper that serves the information needs of credit union executives across the country.

CUC Mortgage was recognized for implementing an online interface and an electronic imaging system that saves time and paper storage space for its credit unions and their members by giving those members direct access to information on their mortgage accounts and the ability to make their mortgage payments online. Registered borrowers also receive monthly e-mails advising when their monthly statements and updated escrow reports can be accessed online.

Since the programs went live, CUC Mortgage has seen a 43.5% increase in the number of people registering for access and an 87% increase in online payments.
