(Latham, NY) – Assemblyman George Amedore (R-Adirondack) toured Sunmark FCU’s General Electric branch earlier today, Wednesday, November 21 to learn about the credit union and the members it serves.
As part of the tour, the Assemblyman met with Sunmark’s executive management team where he heard more about the credit union difference and Sunmark’s philanthropy initiatives in the community. Taxation issues pertaining to the credit union industry was also a topic of discussion at the gathering.
"Hosting a visit from Assemblyman Amedore gave us the opportunity to make him more aware of the credit union movement, as well as the issues and concerns that relate to our overall community," said Sunmark FCU President and CEO Bruce M. Beaudette.
George Amedore was elected Assemblyman for the 105th Assembly District on July 31, 2007.
The visit was coordinated by the New York State Credit Union League. Representing the League at the event was Vice President Govermental Affairs Amy Kramer and Advocacy Specialist Allison Doney.
